I have visited the Da’ratul-Ma’arif several times, and have had an close glance at their labours. It is my considered opinion that an institution of this kind is unique not only in India, but perhaps also in the whole Islamic world. Its achievements are of the utmost importance to the cause of Islamic learning, and as such deserves the highest praise and encouragement. I was particularly impressed by the publication of التاريخ الكبير by Al-Bukhari which, being of an outstanding value to the study of Hadith, would in itself be enough to justify the existence of this institution. I hope and pray that by the grace of god, the Dairatul-Ma’arif may further develop and thrive to the greater glory of Islamic learning.
